1. a) Theme: In the novel "Night" by Elie Wiesel he proves that through rough times staying together with family helps you feel a sense of safety and happiness.

1. b) Character: Believing in religion especially for jews is such a struggle, for survivor Elie Wiesel he showed the strong strength in what he had for his religion.
